Residential Stair Lifts are the best thing for people in homes with varying floors or levels and have difficulty climbing stairs. The great thing about these chairs or lifts is that they fold conveniently out of the way when not in use. The lifts are not design for the stairs or the manufacturer, but for the homeowner and how it may be used efficiently in the home. And many of today’s models can be installed by residents in a couple of hours. Welcome to the website. I’m John Bosley and I researched lift companies for my father who was disabled back in 2000.

Home Stair Lifts
You have probably seen stair lifts in hotels or in meeting rooms, but they are now actually quite common throughout many residences. Home stair lifts have come of age. The technology, mainly refined through the space-age, has improved to the point where smaller parts can be used and materials made that withstand greater weight and forces. Plus, the drive train of today is totally different than it was even ten years ago. Improvements continue to happen and I’ll tell you about those.

Stairway Chair Lift
These lifts accompany stairways because that part of the home was designed to carry traffic. In addition, the construction of the house is reinforced at these points and adding a stairway chair lift is no burden whatsoever to most existing structures. So what you have to consider is what type of chair you will need; light or heavy duty, and what sort of warranty you think you might carry. There are also used stairway chair lifts to think about.

Acorn Stair Lifts
Acorn has a lift they call the Superglide and it got the name because the movement is just so smooth, you really do feel like you’re gliding. The Acorn Stair Lifts can be manually operated by the person sitting in the chair. These are not just for people unable to walk, but those who have a hard time climbing up and down, or need a break now and then. Being battery powered, there is no hard wiring that follows the chair back and forth as it goes between floors. Acorn has done a good job with moving people with stair lifts.

Bruno Stair Lift
Bruno is another manufacturer I like. They have a model called the Electra-Ride which is smooth and simply amazing how it can follow a curved track around a curve staircase. Again, battery powered to keep from any entanglement with cords, the Bruno Stair Lift is used in many commercial applications as well. They claim to be leaders in the curved rail technology and they say there isn’t a staircase they can’t install on. Bruno does suggest that you have one of their representatives install the stair lift for you.

There are used residential stair lifts as well, with some very good pricing. I would hesitate in buying from an individual, but would have a company completely check out the unit and know what I am getting before buying it. A lift will completely change the lift of someone who cannot climb the stairs.

When it comes to purchasing a kind of handicap stair lifts, there are certain factors that should be taken so that the correct choice.
By choosing the wrong type of handicap stair lift would not only say that it is uncomfortable, but it can also be dangerous for the good person should use. In this article I take a look at some key points you should take into account when choosing the right type of stairlift for a person with a disability.
1. The degree of disability of the person or disabled
First of all you need to look to see if the person who will be using the stair lift can actually lift in and out of their wheelchair and on to the seat of the stairlift? Plus, they can actually stand without placing too much weight on their own feet without too much trouble? If the answer to any of these questions is no and can actually separate themselves niet van transfer the wheelchair stair lift or the other way, then you might consider purchasing something else instead, an elevator would be a better way so that they BE access to upper floors of their homes.
2. Can they pressed a button too?
Many modern handicap stair lifts need the person to use to print and then pressed a button which then sends a device down the stairs. If it is unable to implement this simple function, then you might look for another device that they can use instead of one of these types of stairlifts.
3. They have control over their upper body?
Who wants to use a stairlift, a sort of control over their torso. If they do not then they can not sit on the seat of the stair lift safely and may be that they start to slip or if the elevator starts to move to slide.
4. Comes with a belt system?
More of the newer models of handicap stair lifts available today are equipped with a safety belt. But if you try to securely fund and to find a need your control then use it before you aankoop dat it comes with a belt to buy. If not, then see if you can to get it fitted.
But even if the seat has a seat mounted, it is also important that you check it is in good condition and still works.
It is important that you keep more than 4 points in mind when buying a handicap stair lift.

If you have someone in your home who are unable to stairs, then chair lifts for stairs is a real solution. They make life much easier for those with physical disabilities. That said, this chair lifts can be very expensive. So, what do you find the elevator that is suitable for your needs? Here’s a look.

Before starting, it is first important to asses your real need. Do you need a chairlift strictly for your staircase, you need a wheelchair lift for stairs? There is a big difference and you want to know this in advance for shopping.

The other area to address upfront or you would like a chair or a permanently mounted which is portable? Only you know the answer to that of course, but a portable lift is great for those houses that will not allow for a permanent mount.

Now you know what you need is a good thing to know what the key areas you need to search all residential stairlift.

Safety is the key

It goes without saying that safety is always your number one priority. Nobody wants a chair that is dangerous or difficult to try and use. I would say that you want to ensure that each lift is supplied with an automatic shutdown as a minimum requirement. I mean when I say that you want the machine itself to stop running over something in the road. It would be a pet or even a toddler.

Quality built

You should always state that it meets or exceeds all safety standards in place. Apart from that, there is a lot of maintenance required on the lift? If so, what exactly should be aware of? Finally, one of the biggest issues is in how well it compares to other brands and models of the stair chair lifts. Read the reviews and see what others are saying about it before purchasing.

What is the warranty?

Make sure each lift is supplied with a solid warranty that is supported by a good service department. Your warranty should all respect to the lift to cover the president and all mechanical and electrical systems. In essence, you should not be worried about anything with the device.

Here are some of the key areas for security and check in before buying. They will assist you in making your choice, and one that will last for years to come.

After a disabled person in the house who did not manage to climb up and down stairs, a change of their environment, or perhaps even a change of residence required. Changing the accommodation may in some cases easier said than done. What if there is no room downstairs, or perhaps there is only one bathroom on the landing or the upper floor? Change of residence can also be an annoying option, if the current mortgage stay or there may be other reasons why a move was not an option.

Now with easy to install home stair lift systems, the problems caused by a sudden to meet the reduced mobility of a member of the household were eliminated. There are basically two types of systems home chairlift. It has a seat mounted on it that a person can sit and travel up and down the stairs, and the other has a stand on which a person can be put down or place a chair or a wheelchair. Most people opt for the home stair lift chair on a system that is installed, because it’s much safer for the person who used to sit on this trip.

There are several advantages to a home stair lift system. The first and main advantage is that it makes to the mobility of the person to whom it is installed. Secondly, one does not need the homes to prepare for or to change or an extra room or downstairs toilet to be built for the disabled. Another advantage is that it can be used to carry heavy loads up to, as most home stair lift systems may be weighing a minimum of £ 300 to carry a maximum of up to 500 pounds, making them strong enough to household items on transport . So the trouble of trying to carry heavy table or mattress top is more flexible. Another advantage is if one is tired and not have the strength to climb, one can ride up. Young children make a game of taking rides on the elevator and will come with all sorts of games they can play. Home stair lift systems are available in both AC and DC, the DC battery powered models are expensive, but they can be used during a power outage. A stair lift home system allows people to age in their home and save them the pain of having to give up their beloved environment as they grow older.

Even modern home stair lift systems are very safe, so the chances of falling down stairs or accidentally slipping on stairs are virtually eliminated. A home stairlift system does not cost as much as people think, and are very practical and can be installed within a few hours.

Elderly and people who suddenly become disabled due to an accident or illness do not have to make their homes, with home stair lift systems.

Chair lifts for stairs may have many aspects and purposes depending on the user. These devices are normally used by people who have difficulty moving up and down stairs.

Primarily stair chair lifts are designed for use at home, but they can be adapted for office or other facilities. It was previously called a stair lift, stairway elevator, stair glide, chair lift, and stair chair. The corresponding cost of installation can be compared with the cost of moving to a new house of a story.

In most cases only rich people can afford such installation but there are other options to consider. Today there are four different types of stair lifts that are made available in the market.

These four forms are the cable, chain, screw or worm, and pinion or rack dives. The pinion or rack dives are commonly seen in most households. In some models of chair lifts for stairs, the rack and is clearly seen in the middle of the track.

There are some models for chair lifts for stairs where the rack is not visible. Never buy a previously owned chair since they often need further repairs can cost as much as the purchase of a new chairlift.

A trace is placed at the stairs and the stair lift moves up and down on the track.

The stairlift is a button and the button is pressed, it starts moving up and down the stairs, in this way nobodyâ? S need to go to the stairs.

The stair lift is installed in a chair, where the disabled person or person who can not walk and has to be that brings him or her up and down.

If you are considering residential stair lifts for your home, you’re not alone. Millions of people have one of these chairs at home, or are seriously considering their options have a value in the near future. The following tips will help you choose the best chair so it is a functional addition to your home.

The first consideration is whether you need an interior or exterior stairway lift. In some cases, may even be beneficial to have both indoors and outdoors. In order to house a 100% accessible, you might consider having the property ladder each equipped with a lift of some sort.

The biggest difference between an interior and exterior elevator is the material they are made. Outdoors, while a model can come equipped with many of the same features as an internal model, are designed to cope with the natural elements much better.

Features: What features do you think you need? The technology continues to enrich the market, making more and more models available for each of the major brands. You may want to spring for a great president or something more filling. Or, you can ask a lot of additional security features to ensure your safety seat for each user.

The only way to make an informed, educated decision about this product to see what is being offered now. The technology is constantly changing and new models are always hitting the market. Look around and identify the features you need and which ones are optional.

Set-Up: Want to create your own lift, or is it better for a professional to come into your house and do it? Encouraging the creation of you is that you can save considerable amounts of money, but the disadvantage is that you can install it incorrectly. Most companies have professional installers who come into the house and make sure you are connected right.

Residential stair lifts today, often with full warranty. With many companies, you can get at home to maintain the service elevator operating perfectly.

Home stair lifts can be a challenge to figure out what is best for your home and if you are getting value for the money you’re spending. It’s hard enough that you have to consider remodeling your home to allow for a better and more comfortable way to move between floors. Shopping for home stair lifts should be no-brainer, but there are a lot of things to consider and a lot of players involved.

Here are the companies involved in this market:

Bruno Stairlifts
Makes stair lifts right here in America, battery powered, for your home. Has some of the nicest curved staircase lifts. Is ISO-9001 Certified. Rated A+ by the Better Business Bureau. This company has been in business a long while, has managed to keep its nose clean, and people obvious like the lifts.

ThyssenKrupp Access
One of the nicest features of the ThyssenKrupp site is that they have live chat so you can sit back and ask questions while you ponder the pages, but it wasn’t working on the Friday noonish time we checked. Remember, these are sales people. ThyssenKrupp has been in business about 60 years and says they are the world’s most trusted name in home stair lifts. They offer three models.

AmeriGlide
The site is slow mainly because of a review site plug in they are using. Makes their whole site sluggish. They claim their home stair lifts are A17.1 and A18 safety standard rated. And they sell reconditioned units here as well. It appears they are mainly for the do-it-yourselfer. A whopping 5 year warranty on the stair lift. But don’t trust any reviews you see on a manufacturer’s site. They supposedly buy their lifts from Summit and change out the seat to call the unit their own.

Acorn
Started as a refurbisher in the early ’90′s, Acorn soon started making their own stair lift and became a world leader selling over 30,000 lifts a year. They operate worldwide. There are few complaints, but one person mentioned it took them weeks to get an install right and customer service was spotty. Battery replacement requires dismantling the whole unit.

Summit Stairlifts
Another Made in America stair lift, the Summit offers three models with varying features. Summit prides itself in reliability and I found that the best benefit of these units. You could potentially get trapped on the top floor if the unit failed. I believe that Summit is the best deal and value for you and has the best support. I recommend this home stair lift. They offer free shipping as well.

Harmar Stairway Lift
See Summit Stair Lift above.

Stannah
Stannah also claims to be the world’s largest in home stair lifts. Family owned and operated they manufacture their lifts and offer three models to choose from. One is an outdoor stair lift. They are made in the UK and have been the recipient of the Queen’s Award for Export Achievement.
