We need $2000 for my daughter’s stair lift in 3 months..ideas?

{image:handicap lift]Hey. . not asking for money. My daughter is multiply disabled and we live in a 2 story home. She weighs almost 80 pounds and now it’s really difficult for her to run up and down the stairs for baths. She has a waiver that the $ 10,000 payment for the stair lift (yes, they really cost that much .. I could not believe it!), But we must come up with about $ 2000. Hubby is in school full time and working full time so he has no extra time for extra work and her health needs, I can not work. I should be available on notice of a momemt for her and have never found a job that needs. . . . . SO, anyone have good ideas for fund raisers or know of funding sources that we could use. She has Medicaid and they do not include stairlifts. . . apparently it is not medically necessary for her to clean. The lady from Medicaid told me just to give her spongebaths. . . I told her to take spongebaths for one week and see how she felt. . . Anyway, I digress. Any ideas? Thank you to everyone who offered contructive and useful ideas. I must honestly say that we do not expect the government to care for our child. She does have more health needs than others and so it puts more insurance money. Where the taxpayer. . It is much cheaper for us to take her home with help from Medicaid and other exemptions than it would be to her in a residential facility. Starting at 15,000 residential facilities month only for a child to live there. . . that’s not counting the tube g supplies, pullups, oxygen, formula, medicines and other equipment they would need. Get off your high horse and yourself in the shoes of someone else. If you raise two daughters. . . and you did that with absolutely no help? Wow, tht is amazing. . . and completely implausible.

Is there a Catholic social service where you live? They give money to people in need, I have a friend who was late on her rent had went to them, and received $ 1,500. I do not think they had them back betalen.Probeer this, and if it does not work, you pray that God helpt.Ja, the lady from Medicaid went too far, but maybe she had good intentions.

try and rent a room in a well known local pub or club near where you live. Let your neighbors know (if they are friendly and ask them to bring the whole family. Watch out booking a reasonable cost £ 2. Each 00 or so and then a buffet with good food and do an auction, but landfill so you do not spend too much money and the person guesss its price is o pay that money.

Ask your pastor to see if the church would be a fundraiser to help pay your share of a stairlift have. If you do not have a church to help, check with local service clubs to see if they can help with a fundraiser. God bless.
